We are looking for a talented Risk Officer.

EPG Financial Services Limited is a financial institution licenced and operating from Malta. The company offers online payment solutions to merchants operating in diverse markets and industries.

Role and responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive and understandable information on risks, enabling the Board of Directors and its Committee/s to understand EPG’s overall Risk Profile
  • Assess, evaluate and, where required, challenge decisions that affect EPG’s risk exposure
  • Take ownership and be actively involved in elaborating EPG’s Risk Strategy
  • Ensure that EPG has effective risk management processes in place
  • Provide the Board of Directors with all relevant risk related information (e.g. through technical analysis on risk exposure) to enable it to set EPG’s Risk Appetite (Tolerance) level
  • Assess the risk strategy, including targets proposed by the business units, and advise the Board of Directors and its relevant Committee/s prior to decision-making
  • Share responsibility for implementing EPG’s Risk Strategy and Policy with EPG’s business
  • Ensure (on-going monitoring) the limits are in line with EPG’s overall Risk Appetite
  • Ensure transactions with related parties are reviewed and the risks adequately assessed
  • Draw-up and promote the compilation of regulatory reporting on a periodic basis, ensuring the submission on due dates
  • Provide training and assistance to other units within EPG.

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Minimum 4 years continuous hands on experience in Internal Control or Related Functions with licenced entities.
  • Very good standard in English Language and any other EU official language (spoken and written).
  • Strong knowledge and experience with MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
  • In possession of a recognised degree in an area related to Banking, Finance, Mathematics and/or Statistics.
  • The successful candidate should possess all required permits to work and reside in Malta at all times.

The successful candidate will be given the necessary induction training to perform his or her duties.  The candidate should possess all required permits to work and reside in Malta at all times.
