The connected customer (merchant) is the party responsible for the processed payments data. Especially sensitive data, such as credit card numbers and account data, are handled in the payments processing. In accordance with the PCI-DSS regulations, the data are stored exclusively in encrypted form in the databases of Euro Payment Group GmbH.
The data processed to order of the connected customers (merchants) are used exclusively for the purposes commissioned by the customer – e.g. payments settlement and risk management. In so doing and depending on the services commissioned, further data may transmitted to 3rd parties for the purpose of validation e.g. IP geo location information or creditworthiness information.
All data processed to order are stored as stipulated by the customer and deleted on the instruction of the customer – but at the latest on expiry of the due periods stipulated by law. Data is usually blocked instead of deleted if a customer wishes his personal data to be deleted before these statutory periods expire.
Euro Payment Group GmbH uses data related to persons exclusively for those purposes commissioned by connected customers (merchants). Data is forwarded exclusively to subcontractors of Euro Payment Group GmbH for transaction settlement. Data can be forwarded to the corresponding service providers, such as credit information agencies, for commissioned purposes of identity verification and fraud protection.
Data are not forwarded to other third parties for any other purposes – especially address trading.
Data are collected for statistical purposes in order to continually improve the Euro Payment Group GmbH website design. All data automatically transmitted by the customer while visiting the Euro Payment Group GmbH website is collected.
